Donate now to help our basketball coaches win for literacy.
A recent publication by the Bureau of Labor and Statistics reminds us that students who graduate from college have a 95% chance of never living in poverty and their descendants have an even better chance of avoiding it. WiseHeart and our participating coaches realize that reading is vital to getting into college and graduating.
The goal of this program, started by Jonathan Wilfong and Andrew Renshaw, is to raise up to $50,000 to fund a literary program administered and monitored by an established organization in this field. We're asking individuals and corporations to donate and we will raise additional funds through auctions of fun and inventive game day packages put together by our coaches.
Some of the coaches already working on Coaches for Literacy include University of Memphis head coach, Josh Pastner and Vanderbilt head coach, Kevin Stallings. Other high-profile coaches are looking to join us. You can join them in the fight for literacy by clicking on the donate button and making your contribution through PayPal.
And keep checking back here to find out more about upcoming packages and events the coaches are planning for the coming season.
