Matthew 25:35-36 “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
Neighborhood Christian Centers consists of communities that live and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ by conducting ministry that meets both practical and spiritual needs. Since its beginning in 1978, NCC has laid a strong foundation of ministry in its communities. The primary mission of the Neighborhood Christian Centers is to build stronger families and neighborhoods by providing compassionate, Christ-centered ministries to those in need.
NCC serves those Christ came to serve: the oppressed, the hungry, the captive, the blind, the lowly, the alien, the orphan and the widow. NCC ministers to these groups through many programs including, Compassionate Ministries: Crisis & Emergency Intervention Program, LoveBuilders: Family Enrichment Program, Operation Smart Child for Early Childhood Brain Development*, Women Empowered to Succeed, Youth Empowered to Succeed and The House at Orange Mound/Social Enterprise Program.
